Bart Leemans becomes co-shareholder of Service2Fruit

After a year of service as director of Service2Fruit, Bart Leemans becomes a co-shareholder of our portfolio company. Service2Fruit is the online trading platform for fruit, which strives for fairness and transparency in the industry in an innovative way. Bart Leemans mentions that the idea of becoming a co-owner had been brewing for a while, and there was a good feeling and a clear vision for the future from both sides. Despite his level-headedness, there is also a sense of pride: 'I find it exciting, it signifies a level of trust and mutual commitment."

"In the coming years, we will work tirelessly to expand our mission to other product categories. We truly embody this at Service2Fruit; 'always a fair deal' is still far from being the norm in most product categories. We are currently busy with the launch of the platform for potatoes and developing modern software that can easily adapt to the dynamics of the respective sector. We aim to make the trade in the fresh produce world fairer and more transparent, and we have a proven value proposition. It's time to take really big steps now; I do like to stir things up a bit."

Bos acquires ConnectinQ BOS Woodworking Factory Solutions has acquired ConnectinQ Software and ConnectinQ, two companies based in Harlingen specializing in software solutions and engineering for prefabricated timber frame construction, respectively. With this acquisition, BOS expands its offering from machinery to the software that controls the entire production process, as well as the underlying engineering expertise. ConnectinQ Software develops software for prefabricated timber frame construction. The Produuz.it platform provides digital control for the factories and connects BIM models, work preparation, production, and the shop floor in a single environment. This ensures that the entire process from BIM drawing to production-ready control of CNC machines is completely paperless. Additionally, ConnectinQ Software is working on Prefabmatrix, a new development that enables automated calculations, schedule creation, order management, post-calculation, and financial administration based on IFC models. ConnectinQ is a drafting firm with extensive engineering knowledge of timber frame construction. With the combination of knowledge of the machines, the product, and its development, BOS expects to be able to support its customers even better in the future. The acquisition aligns with BOS's strategy to offer customers total solutions rather than individual components. While BOS has been supplying the machines customers use for production for years through Bos Machines and H&M Machines, ConnectinQ adds the software that controls that process. This allows the group to support the entire chain from drawing to production. ConnectinQ and H&M Machines are already collaborating on several projects. "We see in practice that together we can mean more to customers, and customers are enthusiastic about that," says Teus Jan de Jong, CEO of the BOS Group. "This acquisition is the logical next step. We all believe in the long term, and that is also evident in how we have structured things." With the acquisition, the group's shareholder structure has been adjusted. In addition to strategic partner Anders Invest, Tom Eijkenaar (Managing Director of ConnectinQ), Jan Willem Dijkstra (Managing Director of H&M Machines), and Teus Jan de Jong (CEO of the BOS Group) are acquiring a stake in the group. With this, BOS ensures strategic cohesion and long-term commitment. Founder Tom Eijkenaar will remain associated with ConnectinQ and continue to expand the company within the group. About ConnectinQ Based in Harlingen, ConnectinQ develops custom software for prefabricated timber frame construction. A defining characteristic of the company is that the team masters both IT and woodworking, a combination rare in the sector. The Prefabmatrix product links design, work preparation, production, and administration in a single environment. About BOS Woodworking Factory Solutions BOS Woodworking Factory Solutions supplies machines and solutions for the woodworking industry, with Bos Machines and H&M Machines as parts of the group.
