This challenge requires the Food & Agri sector to transition. Anders Invest contributes to this transition by long-term investing in companies that aim to make a difference in the Food & Agri sector. An attractive financial return is important, but we also aim for a “sustainability impact” return.

Portfolio

The fund focuses on companies in the total food chain, also expressed “from farm to fork”. The focus will be on companies in the middle of the chain that are mainly involved in processing, trading and marketing products. Investing in the entire chain also means looking beyond national borders. The fund management invests a substantial part of their equity in the fund.

Involved

The investment team of Anders Invest Food & Agri has a background in the Food & Agri sector. They have themselves led companies of the type in which the fund invests and have proven that they can add a lot of value. The fund conducts active investment management, not spreadsheet management, but substantive involvement in business challenges. By exchanging best practices, investment managers bring solutions to challenges to the table with all companies in the portfolio.

The members' meetings of the investors in the fund, which take place several times a year, are held at portfolio companies. In this way, investors are involved in the companies in which the Food & Agri Fund invests. The investors also contribute new acquisition opportunities.

Yield

By spreading the portfolio in healthy and growing companies, we expect a good financial return and manageable risks. We will be able to realize even more value through our active involvement, but also by establishing mutual connections between different participations. It is important in the Food & Agri fund that we do not focus exclusively on financial returns. We will also formulate objectives with our participating interests to realize “impact” returns. In doing so, we will align as much as possible with the sustainable development goals (SDGs), formulated by the United Nations. Thanks to the cooperative legal form, the participation exemption also applies to interests under 5% in our current tax regime when participating from a BV.
