The Anders Invest Industrie Fonds invests exclusively in production companies with headquarters in the Netherlands. Ideally, the company has its own product or has unique competences or technology as a supplier. It does not mean that the (complete) production has to take place in-house. Some companies in our portfolio focus mainly on engineering and purchase parts, components and modules and only do the assembly or acceptance test in-house.
We invest in companies that have been on the market for several years and have a proven product portfolio. Ideally, the company is profitable, but we can also take on the challenge of a loss-making situation.
The companies we focus on realize a turnover between € 3 and € 250 million. Within this broad revenue range, we roughly distinguish three segments:
turnover € 3-10 million: in addition to our investment management, we can offer these companies extra hands-on support in all kinds of areas (business control, financing issues, pricing strategy, positioning, marketing, building up a dealer network, building an organisation, general management, etc.)
turnover € 10 - 150 million: normally we invest in a majority interest in this type of company. We are involved investment managers and help build a good MT and management with the right people in the right place.
turnover € 150-250 million: because of our long horizon we also fit very well with larger family businesses with a turnover of € 150-250 million that are looking for a sustainably reliable minority shareholder.
In practice, there is overlap between the aforementioned turnover ranges and we can dovetail well with the wishes of the shareholders.
We come on board for many different reasons: succession, MT participation, growth & expansion, working capital, pre-exit dga, securing assets, an independent third party in a family business and because of major investment programs.
