Saskia Korink, Nice to meet you

Saskia studied applied physics at the University of Groningen and is officially an engineer (ir); she also has an MBA from Columbia Business School. After working for a year on the development of satellites (Fokker Space & Systems), she started working at Van den Bergh Foods (Unilever) as a product and packaging developer. After her MBA, Saskia worked for 7 years at Boston Consulting Group, the last years of which as Principal of BCG Sao Paulo. She then joined Cargill (in Sao Paulo), where she quickly became Business Unit Leader of Cargill Cocoa Latin America ($300 million in sales). Under her leadership, profits tripled and the business expanded to include the production and sale of chocolate. She was subsequently promoted to VP Global Marketing of Cargill's Animal Nutrition business, in the US. As part of the leadership team, she acquired Provimi, a Dutch premix company, doubling the business. After Cargill, Saskia joined Genus plc as CMO, then became COO of Genus ABS, a globally ruminant genetics business. Finally, Saskia was Innovation Director of Trouw Nutrition (Nutreco), where under her leadership the contribution of innovation as % of sales profit has grown from 0.9% to 6.5% in 4 years, and subsequently became CEO of Trouw Nutrition, a global business with approximately 8,500 employees and billions in turnover. Saskia is a member of the Supervisory Board of Hoogwegt Group.
