Jurjen van der Werf, Nice to meet you
Investment Manager
Jurjen van der Werf (1989) obtained his Bachelor International Economics and Business, with Cum Laude distinction, at the University of Groningen and his Master Business Economics & Finance at the University of Amsterdam. In addition, Jurjen did a minor Chinese in Taiwan and a minor Philosophy in Canada. After his studies Jurjen worked for five years as a strategy consultant at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company). He lead several strategy projects for a wide range of companies: from small start-ups to listed conglomerates in both the Netherlands as abroad. Typical projects involved pricing, reorganizations, market entry, carve-outs and due diligence. In 2019, Jurjen worked for Philips healthcare in Johannesburg on improving access to care in Africa.
As an Investment manager, Jurjen is involved in a number of portfolio companies and plays a role in the fund's new acquisitions.
