Investment Director
Sandra Mayr (1983) is Investment Director at Anders Invest Food & Agri Fund, where she is responsible for investing in and managing SMEs within the food and agricultural sector. The fund focuses on long-term investments that contribute to fair, healthy and sustainable food production.
With 15 years of banking experience, including 12.5 years at ABN AMRO, Sandra was involved in the bank’s reconstruction after its acquisition by a group of banks. She specialized in structured financing, including financing acquisitions in various sectors, including the food industry. Later, she became responsible for operations within the bank’s legal department, where she led several strategic projects that resulted in significant cost savings, more efficient work processes and a positive culture change.
After ABN AMRO, Sandra worked for 4.5 years as Investment Director at NextGen Ventures, where she focused on impact investments in innovative medical technologies and digital solutions that make a positive contribution to healthcare. In this role, she worked closely with founders and investors to make the right strategic moves and realize growth. In this role, she also held various board positions, including supervisory roles at Plasmacure B.V. and Quli B.V., and advisory roles at Rockstart AgriFood.
Sandra obtained her bachelor's degrees in Accountancy and International Business cum laude from New Mexico State University, funded by a tennis scholarship, and subsequently her master's degree in Business Administration cum laude from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
