Manual and machine blasting and preservation of steel
Anders Invest has a 100% interest in Brabant Groep, located in Oosterhout (headquarters). Brabant Group blasts and preserves steel plates and large steel objects for use in shipbuilding, petrochemicals, wet contracting and the process industry. The company has held a leading position in the Benelux for decades.
Brabant Groep is the market leader in the machine blasting and preservation of plates and profiles for the shipbuilding industry. These activities take place at the Oosterhout site and at Euroblast in Schoten (Belgium). The acquisition of Euroblast was completed in October 2021, which means that Brabant Group now also has access to customers in the Antwerp port area. Other conservation specialties of the company are wet painting, powder coating and the application of fire-retardant coatings. Since the takeover of STC in June 2021, Brabant Groep has had two branches in Heerenveen, where powder coating is carried out at Straco Heerenveen and STC Heerenveen is active in wet painting. Since December 2022, Brabant Group has acquired a minority interest in JC Straaltechniek in Werkendam. JC Straaltechniek mainly handles large objects that have their application in wet contracting. Major pipeline projects for the petrochemical industry are carried out in Oosterhout.
The five branches have a surface area of approximately 85,000 m2 and are all easily accessible by road, and the Oosterhout branch is also easily accessible by water. The spacious layout of the locations and the good accessibility ensure that large objects can be preserved without any problems, including large batches of steel plates, sheet piles, bridge sections, brakes and pipes/piping for the petrochemical industry. Brabant Groep has a broad customer portfolio in sectors such as the steel trade, maritime industry, process industry and petrochemicals.
