Transformers for the electricity network
Anders Invest has a 60% participation in IEO Transformatoren from Breda. Founded in 1945, IEO manufactures and markets distribution transformers for electricity networks. The company has a turnover of € 30-35 million and employs more than 70 people.
Since its foundation in 1945, IEO has grown into a leading production company in the field of distribution transformers and the only Dutch manufacturer. IEO's customers are network operators and metering companies who install and manage the transformers, for example in residential areas, for wind turbines, solar parks, charging stations for electric cars and industrial sites. The energy transition means strong increase of demand for electrification. In the Netherlands and the rest of Europe, further expansion and strengthening of the electricity network is necessary. Distribution transformers from IEO play an important role in these networks. The company has a modern production facility in Breda where the cores of transformers are wound, assembled and tested. Thanks to years of experience and continuous development, IEO produces transformers with very low losses and high efficiency. With its participation in gAvilar, Anders Invest has already focused in 2015 on a role in the energy transition in the field of gas (such as biogas and hydrogen) and is now also playing a relevant role on the electricity side with IEO.
The Patel family, which has been a shareholder of IEO since 1984, holds a 40% interest in the company.
