Burners for greenhouse horticulture and industry
Anders Invest has a 75% interest in Vitotherm, located in Pijnacker. Vitotherm develops and produces burners for the greenhouse horticulture sector and industry. The Vitotherm team has years of experience in burner technology.
Vitotherm is the worldwide market leader in burner technology for the greenhouse horticulture sector and a leader in sustainable burner technology. Horticulture uses so-called Low-NOx burners for heating greenhouses. The CO2 from the burner is used to promote the growth process of the crops. The nitric oxide (NOx) that is created during combustion must be as low as possible for the crops to grow to the maximum. This requires specific, high-quality burners that work optimally under different climatic conditions. Vitotherm has been supplying burners with a capacity between 2 MW and 25 MW for decades. Maintenance and SCIOS inspections are largely carried out in-house and form an important pillar of long-term customer relationships. The burners are designed and produced in-house, where necessary based on customer-specific wishes. Thousands of burners have already been installed worldwide through a network of installers and greenhouse builders.
The internationally growing demand for Dutch greenhouses offers an excellent growth perspective. In recent years, Vitotherm has increasingly used its knowledge of burners for industrial customers, such as asphalt plants, power plants and the process industry. Several new sectors are being targeted both nationally and internationally.
