Wire
Anders Invest has an interest of 88% in the Noord Nederlandse Draar Industrie (NNDI) and Van Meirvenne, located respectively in Dokkum and Beveren-Waas (BE). The companies specialize in the production of wire for broad industrial applications, including reinforcing steel. Together, the companies have a turnover of approximately € 100 million and employ over 75 employees.
NNDI is a continuation of the Leeuwarder Draad Industrie founded in 1928. The company has developed into a specialized production company for the manufacture of drawn bare wire and reinforcing steel in coils and bars. The company also produces wire nails. Bare wire is used, for example, in hinge pins, car tires, wire baskets, nails, suspension brackets and furniture.
NNDI has a spacious and modern production facility in Dokkum. Due to the variety of post-processing, flexibility in the machine park and qualified employees, NNDI also succeeds in quickly serving customers with different wishes regarding finishing, dimensions and order size. Customers throughout Europe are served from Dokkum.
Van Meirvenne was founded in 1955 and the third generation is now active with director and shareholder Nick van Meirvenne. Van Meirvenne produces cold-drawn wire steel rods and coils with its extensive and highly automated machine park. The products are used in concrete reinforcement and customers are mainly concrete producers and construction companies in Belgium and the Netherlands.
NNDI and Van Meirvenne are jointly part of Wire Industrie Holding B.V. and collaborate intensely where appropriate. NNDI and Van Meirvenne, for example, make use of each other's production capacity and knowledge. The two companies offer a broad portfolio of wire products; from bare drawn wire to reinforcing steel.
